Cockburn Bowling Club – COVID-19
@ 29/04/2020 – 3:50pm
All these guidelines must be adhered to or the club will have no option than to close the greens
All people who are rolling up must have their own sanitiser.
Disinfectant will be made available beside mat and jacks. After each completed use, all mats and jacks must be thoroughly cleaned before being used again.
All people rolling up are strongly suggested to have the Covid-19 app installed on their phone.
All people rolling up must sign the register of attendees just in case a communicable illness was to occur.
Only four people can play together on one rink and the 1.5m physical distancing rule is always to be observed.
There must be one rink space (an empty rink) between each rink in use.
A maximum of 10 persons is allowed per green at any one time.
All players are to use separate mats and jacks (or ensure that the same player on each rink places mats or places/rolls jacks).
Other bowls equipment cannot be shared between players (e.g. bowls, cloths, measures etc).
Players should always practice safe hygiene, including washing hands for at least 20 seconds before and after bowls.
Individuals must leave the premises immediately after conclusion of play and cleaning of equipment.

Vale Ron Collis
It is with deep sadness and sorrow the Cockburn Bowling Club has to announce the passing of Ron Collis, a true gentleman of our sport.
Ron was one of the finest club administrators and friend to everyone, giving so much to the sport of Lawn bowls; he had been playing and watching bowls up to the closure of the clubs due to the COVID-19.
He was a man who gave so much to our great game; Ron was the current Club Patron, Cockburn Bowling Club Secretary 1985-87, 1991-92; Club President 1996-99, he was a life member at Cockburn nominated in 2018.
Ron was passionate about the Cockburn Bowling Club and was a diehard Fremantle Dockers supporter, his knowledge of both games was second to none, and he will be sadly missed
Our sincere condolences to all of Ron’s family on his passing.
